Relax. It's only a small setback.
I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
A helpful Cubiteer helped me fix my Whitelist, so the Dahlia Cubit should be accessible now. Hurray! C'mon over with your blooms in hand when you have them.

Candee, are those wintered-over tubers or new ones? I always have a few start out looking great and then rot; ditto for those from vendors. I hate it when you're really looking forward to a certain one or two, and those are the ones that rot. Sad I encourage you, if you have time, to excavate and investigate the no-shows. Many times, it's a rotting tuber with sprouts, and that tuber can be trimmed, treated with Lysol or sulphur and replanted to grow. Those dahlias want to live, so if the tuber is rotting, it might be worth looking into it. If it's a case of tubers without eyes, that's a dead end story.

For the first time in years, after a very mild and much drier winter than usual for WA, I've had 3 dahlias come back when left in the ground. Usually, all tubers turn to husks of mush by Spring if not dug. Our Spring has been more like winter here, but today: 80 with blue skies, shorts vs fleece, windows open vs furnace. Life is good!
