Hi Tracey,
Unfortunately the casual gardener seems to want to buy blooming peony plants rather than bare root divisions.
I don't believe that most of them are given proper planting instructions and wonder why the plants fail to thrive.
The nice thing about Intersectionals here in the South is that the blooms open. I have never had an Intersectional peony ball on me.
