Patty it is called a nun orchid because the bloom looks like a nun cap. Here is an article about it from AOS.

Now after reading the medium, I guess I'm doing something wrong. I planted this on a pure miracle grow slow release soil because I got this with a dirt on it. But I do let it dry before watering it. Although it is outside so it gets rained when it rains. I didn't realize that cymbidiums can tolerate peat moss (or dirt). No wonder why my cymbidiums died on me because after the blooms, I would repot them in orchid bark Thumbs down Thumbs down *Blush*
