When I had the break-in that one I never got back. I used the insurance money to buy another one. I had a Nikon and I went with a Sony with the insurance money. I liked the Nikon better. I have trouble adjusting the Sony. I like the DSLR cameras they are expensive but because I have so many acres of land I like cameras with a deep zoom.
When the bird took my Sony I did not turn it in to the insurance company because I was afraid they would think I was scamming them. Nobody should lose 2 thousand dollar cameras in a year unless they are running a scam.
