Haha! We grit out teeth and bear it, maybe whine a bit. But normally it's not the whole state that has drought, like it is now. Houston usually thinks of drought as something that hangs around a week to a month, then they usually get tons of rain and it's back to their usual weather. The last five years has been bad locally, except for our six month El Nino vacation from dryness. And when we were in San Antonio yesterday, we got to see where parts of S.A. got thoroughly soaked...then come home, where that little bit of drizzle has already evaporated.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
