This is our second year for an overwintering female ruby throat hummingbird--last year was the first time we had one and it was so much colder than this year. We can only speculate that she is the same one. We call her Birdie Girl and we see her quite often at the feeder during the day. I change out her feeder about every week--I don't like it staying up that long. We should see the return of the other hummers about the first of April. Hard to believe that is less than a month away, this year is already going by quickly.
