Hi.

So I am growing a pitifully slow clumping bamboo. It's a rare cultivar that's not in our data base.

The "common" name that's given on the label is Jiuzhaigou Genf Bamboo. Not common by most standards. The more common name by which people would seek it out from someone working in a nursery would likely be "tall clumping bamboo," but that fits many. Any way, I digress.

I try to put in the common name (as above listed per the label) and then move on to the cultivar.

It was thought to be a fargesia nitada but now researchers are questioning that. It now appears to be more properly listed as fargesia sp. 'Jiuzhaigou Genf' Regardless of which I choose I get bumped here.

A little help is appreciated. I'm really curious if anyone else is growing it. Thanks.

Whitebeard aka Sean
