Thank you Daisy. Does this mean, for every leaf I want to get rid of I must cut the long, strong, (sometimes 4ft.) petiole along with it? I suppose this makes sense as I've been told with some of my other plants to remove dead leaves at the base. It is just so sad to me because these petioles are so long and big.
