Three or four weeks ago, I took 4 large cuttings of a beloved ivy. I placed all four in a glass vase with good quality water in a sunny room. Within a week, the vase seemed to be filling with new root shoots. After 3 weeks, I pulled them out assuming they were all sufficiently hardy to plant. Three sported very hearty, healthy roots. One had no roots at all.
I planted the three, and put the other one back in the same vase with the same water. Within days it began to root (alone). Within three weeks the roots were flourishing.
What has transpired here? Is it possible that in the close quarters of the glass vase the 4th cutting just "assumed" the roots of the other cuttings were actually its own? Is this crazy? There is no question that once the other cuttings were removed, the final cutting did as well as the others had earlier. I am a homeopath and so believe in energy and frequencies that all living things emit and respond to.
