I shut down both of my GHs, @843rphyllis. Like you, without AC, there is no way to keep my GHs even relatively mild when spring arrives. It is not unusual for my spring and summer temperatures to soar into the 110's with all vents/doors open, 80% shade cloth, and four fans running at their max. The only thing my greenhouses are good for in the spring is starting seeds and in the spring/summer is rooting plumeria cuttings. I do leave some aloe and jade in a greenhouse. They don't seem to care how hot it gets as long as they get enough moisture. I will also do a thorough cleaning/disinfection while the greenhouses are mostly empty and refresh my cypress mulch that is my subfloor. One of my fabric floors is five years old and I have torn it at the entrance. I will replace that greenhouse fabric this spring or summer or perhaps simply overlay that fabric with new fabric.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
