Christine, King Konky is as gorgeous as his name, but doesn't look old enough to be retired... He does look as though he might be a cousin of Philip's cats! Hilarious!

Good point on owls being solitary, Elaine - the only times I've ever seen a group of owls have been at a local owl sanctuary (they rescue injured ones). I might have a look to see if I can discover whether there are some sorts of owl that live in groups. We often hear owls here at night, but rarely see them.

We have a lot of different kinds of birds in the morning - I guess they want their breakfast. Smiling Then they seem to hang around, but in smaller numbers - the problem here is that I can fill up all the feeders and within half an hour they're empty, and only the fat balls last for more than one day. Sad
