Hi, we are going to be moving by next spring and I have been starting new beds at the new place. I was going to just divide the daylilies but the realtor suggested that I take them all and leave mostly drought tolerant plants but even that might be overwhelming to the buyers ( I think she was suggesting that I have to many plants)
I have heard this before , lol but is that possible?

Anyway, I would like to move them asap or pot them up till I can get them planted at the new place before the serious summer heat.

When we moved here years ago I just cut them back and put them in paper bags till I got them planted
Some didn't bloom for years, the only dl that never skipped a beat were the ones my gm called Tawny and my gf called ditch lilies
They bloom no matter what. A couple of years ago the snails nearly ate the whole plant while we were out of town and they still bloomed shortly after

I know I could wait till next year but then there will be too many things on our plate.

So what do you think bag them or pot them
Gardening is learning, learning, learning. That's the fun of them.
You're always learning !
