I am not too clear on the moving situation. You have been starting new beds at the new place? Does that mean you are going back and forth from the current place to the new place? How far away is the move?
Do you have a truck? How are you going to transport the plants?
How long before the actual move? Was there a reason this could not have been done in the past fall or winter?
I guess what I am leading up to is, could the clumps all be dug up with the soil in tact and moved to the new place.
If not set in the permanent location could they just be sat on top of the ground and dirt hilled up around them and then mulched really well?
