Clint this is one of my favourite shade plants. It just just glows in low light, the foliage always looks perfect and it is easily hardy for me. (I kept reading reports that it needed lots of moisture but in my experience there are many plants requiring more).

We have had 3 ASK in various locations in our garden for several years and it can easily go over 4 feet in height and breadth. I usually shape mine throughout the season to reduce its width.

Here is one of ours from mid July 2014.
