Just enjoying all the lovely photographs in this thread tonight. Still to wet and partially frozen to start any spring cleanup in my northern climate. I had no idea that Iris did so well in north/central Texas! I have a sister that lives in a suburb slightly north of Dallas (Golden Oaks?) and has an entire acre to think about landscaping. I have been trying to refresh my memory of the plants that grow well in the area and things I remembered that I really loved when I was out there the last time I visited. I am pea green with envy at the Lady Banks Rose in the picture. It amazes me how huge they get! She is supposed to be sending me her plat map and pictures of her home and yard (completely flat and bare of trees) as well as the neighborhood so I can get a feel for a comprehensive plan for guidance. Just looking through all the pictures has me excited all over again to scout around the Texas landscape and admire all the different plants that grow so beautifully there.
