Well -- to me, ditch Iris are Irises of unknown variety and generally of historic origins. I received six bags of ditch Iris rhizomes several years ago, when I thought I was buying six named cultivars from a seller on Ebay. She was a fraud and a thief -- and I did not know it until two years later when the Irises finally bloomed -- and revealed their true identity. They were pale lavender in color, and grew on spindly stems.

Thank you Teresa. My Dad is directly responsible for my love of nature and gardens and flowers. It was a quiet gift that has lasted all my life. Lovey dubby

Dusky Challenger is indeed a *blow away* Iris. And I only just got it in my garden a couple of years ago.............. Whistling
