Jean, Great shots! Is that by chance the Black Point Drive at Merritt Island Nat'l Wildlife Refuge? That's one of my favorite places for bird watching ... some awesome species of birds can be seen there, along with Manatees and of course Gators! I love the Tricolored Heron and that's a really beautiful shot of the Roseate Spoonbill! I see your third photo shows Pied-billed Grebes which I've seen here a few times, they are fun to watch because when they see me out on my deck they immediately dive beneath the water and pop back up a little ways away.
These are some old photos from 2013 of Gators and Manatees at the wildlife refuge area. The Manatees were at the Haulover Canal. The big gator on land may be the one you call George! I remember the first time we were riding along Black Point Drive, I thought it was fake but my husband assured me that he was a real gator that is well known at the refuge.
~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt!
~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot!
