I hear you about the pollen, Susie.
Being right next to Smoky Mtn Nat/l Park and numerous state parks, as well numerous state parks and stands & lil forests of decidous trees. . . we have two sessions of allergy-triggering pollen. The worst is later, in the midst of spring, when the yellow pollen covers everything: cars take on a yellowish-green hue - car washes do a bang-up busdiness from newcomers, visitors and the fastidious. . . they soon learn the futility of this as within a few hours, cars are yellow-hued again!! this goes on about 3 weeks. It makes my lungs itch!!
Then there is the milder, shorter early summmer session: the only visible signs THIS time are all the allergy sufferers'!
But then, each of the four seasons here has its own special torment.. . . I love this area. (irony intended)
