Hi everyone! I hope I'm in the right forum.. I would like to replicate, in miniature, the ancient Latte Stone structures from our culture to use as planters.

I had been scratching my head during this past year on how to go about making faux latte stones to use as planters. I had thought of hypertufa and cement forms, but these are too heavy, and would also require reinforcement within to hold the form.

Then a light bulb came on the other day...why not take a wide shallow plastic plant bowl and place the base on top of an overturned 3 or 5 gal. plant pot (bottom cut out) and texturize/paint the parts to look like stone.

So...any ideas on how to create the faux latte stone planters, i.e., texturizing and paint materials, would be very much appreciated. Big Grin
