I have grown them here in Zone 5 b in pots. They are quite spectacular. The one I have is N. bowdenii IIRC.
Another interesting oddball is Peruvian Daffodil which does very well for me in pots and winter over in my basement with no problem. I even got a baby bulb last year.
This year will be their 3rd or 4th season.
