I live in the NE & it is still too cold out to do much planting yet. We have seedlings started in the basement for our community garden plot. I have begun lugging compost out to the plot because this year for the first time in my life, I am going to plant ...(drumroll...).......ASPARAGUS!!! I pick up the crowns on 4/23. I hope to have the bed well prepped by then. Wish me well.
I've include a couple of photos of last year's garden. Last year was the first year I had a plot in the community garden. I lucked out: the soil was already improved by the previous tenant.
