This is interesting. I have tons of dead pine trees from pine borer damage and they are no good for burning, or much else for that matter. Looks like they would be good hugel material though as they do break down quickly. I had thought of burying them but didn't realize they would be good for planting on. If I can recruit some help I'll try this. Thanks for the idea.
