Oh, I misread your original post, I thought it was rain not snow. Still, it should be ok.
Just a note, I hard pruned one of my arctic willow because of where it was positioned in the yard, and it grew very dense and thick and very tall. It wasn't as wispy as prior to pruning. That can be a plus or a minus depending on what you are trying to do with it.
