Geez... Those Wilds daylilies sure look sad. They remind me of the bagged plants sold at Walmart in late Winter. I buy the bulbs, but never the daylilies. I can see why they take so long to get established and bloom. They probably wouldn't survive in the heat of my garden.
I, too, have a problem getting rid of daylilies. I still keep them as I have a little more room to add a few more raised beds. Space is becoming a premium though. Most of mine are seedlings, so you would think it would be easy. It is not. Something about raising them from seeds .... I am too sentimental.
