I live in the Northeast & have a community garden plot. It is too cold to plant much outside here now, but I have seedlings started in the basement under lights: lettuce, beets, 2 kinds of bok choi & now broccoli. I have been out to our plot several times now & am preparing a row for asparagus crowns. We had such a mild winter here last year that the bed is workable now!

@Weedwhacker, thanks for the tip about pea planting. I will try it. Last year I had a good crop, but it took them forever to sprout.
