While I already knew the differences between red juvenile foliage and photosynthesis vs. green foliage, I was surprised to hear that theory about disease resistance. I agree with Neal that it's a old wives tale. I did think there might be a slight chance of it being true, that's why I wanted to see what others thought.
I think Ralph Moore was probably right about his quote up above !
