I have always found it much harder to find charts, graphs, lists etc. with flower planting dates and much easier to find vegetable planting dates. Generally I plant annuals in the spring and then till it gets too hot, then again when it cools down a bit. Perennials I plant almost anytime the weather is not too extreme.
Vegetables seem to require a much more demanding specific schedule in general due to harvesting and maturity requirements.
