I had an appointment for Lily at the vets today so that is where we went.

Lily's vet appointment took a long time but we are back home now. As soon as we got home and she got her coat off she ran around with one of her toys playing. But the appointment must have been stressful for her as when she heard a dog barking in the next room she peed on the exam room floor. This after the vet tech had taken her weight but before the vet came in.

So her weight is 11 pounds 12 ounces and it used to be 11pounds 8 ounces. I figgure all that walking makes more muscle as Lily really is not fat.

Lily had two minor "surgeries" while she was there. She had the tick head removed and she also had a small embedded burr or something on her leg. They put numbing cream on and really this was no big deal but of course she is a complete baby about it. But was fine as soon as it was done.

Then she got her Lyme Vac and in 3 weeks needs to come back to get the second Lyme shot.No way to know if she was exposed to Lyme and as the vet said even if it was a Lyme tick doesn't mean she would get Lyme. So just watch. Blood test not helpful until at least two months from now for anything to show up. So we will wait.

So all my worry because if what it said on the internet about the vaccine causing Lyme. Apparently so in the old Fort Dodge vaccine. Vet said it did sometimes cause Lyme and they stopped using it long ago. Now using the Lyme Vac which she assured me was very safe.

So that was Lily's day. We did not go for an exercise walk as it really is extra cold outside. It was 22 on my side of the house thermometer when we got got home.
