LOL, big day for Rita too, I think! I'm glad the whole tick thing is pretty much resolved now, Rita; worrying about stuff is usually so much worse than actually getting it taken care of.

Greene, just keep working with Lucky to cut his nails, and give some treats afterward each time. My cats are both really good about it (except for one really weird nail that Kinja has -- she has extra toes on her front paws and has a very funky nail that's hard to access, so DH usually holds her for me while I do that one. (I bought one of the actual "cat nail clipper" things, which works like a scissors, but found that using a human toenail clipper with rubber on the top handle part for a better grip works much better for me.) Ziggy is especially good, likely because I've had him since he was pretty young.
