I haven't had a narcotic pain med since the surgery in 1990 and that was the day of the surgery, while I was hospitalized. Don't get me wrong, pain meds are a God-send. Over my 42 year span of practicing dentistry, I probably prescribed well over 100,000 narcotic meds, so it certainly is not that I don't value pain control. I'm just one of those strange people that doesn't like to take medicines. Thus I never even consider most pain meds. I occasionally will take Advil but even that is rare. I can take the pain, heck, after four decades I just expect it, but either the pain has gotten worse or getting old made me less tolerant. I am hopeful as well as optimistic that the fusion will lessen the pain, improving my life. I have a lot left to do before I am called home. Whistling

Kelli, you need all the rain you can get. Y'all have a lot of catching up to do.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
