Carol ... we have had a couple of weeks of night temps down to around 20F and day temps in the mid 30s, but it is warming up, as usual in January. Night temps are now in the mid-to-hi 30s and day temps are in the 40s. Amazing how 10 degrees makes such a difference.
The back of the kitchen cabinet faces an outside wall, so I think the dish soap probably froze last week and just had not thawed out, yet.

I don't spend much time in the kitchen when it is that cold without cooking something in the oven. The rest of the house can be quite toasty after the fire has been going for a while. Since there is no thermostat on the wood stove, there are times when I find myself peeling off layers and opening doors and windows to cool off ...
