I've been run inside with the threat of a severe thunderstorm. Hope it doesn't destroy the blooms. Here are some photos.

'Shepaug River' was hybridized in Connecticut. It's a moderate sized plant and has really good plant habits - uniform, straight stalks and easy to grow here. It always photographs too light - think a bit more lavender Smiling

Seedlings. I think anyone that grows an iris from seed understands. These have been around a while now:

I collect the stray seedlings and let them grow out. Unknown heritage, but you never know. This
greenish one bloomed today for the first time:

The cloud slid past. No hail, not much rain and the wind didn't last long. Back outside.

Edit. To correct WHERE 'Shepaug River' was hybridized. Originally I said New York.
