My last semester of college, I spent a month living in a small village in Western Samoa. Only the interpreter spoke English and I spoke no Samoan.

One night, I walked back to the rest of the group after a visit to the outhouse (I had given up visiting the jungle for these needs after I got chiggers in a sensitive area). There had been a HUGE centipede walking up the wall - I was fastinated! I mentioned it to the interpreter. He said something in Samoan and the whole village came to life. I found out later I'd had a close encounter with a deadly centipede.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
