Hey guys,

I have just bought 2 peppermint plants (I am pretty sure it is peppermint, but it might be some other mint :))

So, the 2 plants came in normal, small plastic containers. I have bought some proper soil (general soil from a 1 euro store) and planted them into a bigger pot.

My questions are the following:
-how often do I water them and shall I put a small tray under the pot and pour the water there?
-How much water do they need? .5L or 1L per watering?
-How can I get baby plants out of them? A friend of mine told me that maybe cutting of a small branch and planting it can be an option.
-Are there any guidelines of cutting the leaves off for consumption? I have cut of 8 leaves in 2 days from the bottom parts where I saw small leaves appearing too. So, I used a pair of scissors and carefully cut of some leaves without damaging the tiny leaves that are growing there.
-I'd like to ask "how often I can cut leaves off", but I guess this will depend on what you guys say to my previous question.
-will 1-2 hours of sunshine a day do for these 2 plants? I dont have much of it on the balcony and I dont want to keep them inside the house.
-How long do these plants live if I take good care of them?

Thanks for any answers and here is a lovely photo of them. :)
