The 2 plants I tried to overwinter last fall rotted :(

I had 4 healthy seedlings started in January, but they died when I transplanted them in Feb (I think I killed then with too much chicken poo based fertilizer mixed in the potting soil).
I have 5 little seedlings started in Feb. that I haven't transplanted yet. We've had fantastic vernalization weather this month, and the little guys have been out in 30-50 deg weather all month. I'm thinking about putting them into larger pots, but I'm afraid I might kill them again.

I also have 1 plant from last summer that I overwintered in a pot indoors that has been out in the cool weather all spring so far. Unfortunately it has had really bad aphids. I used some neem oil on the leaves and after that didn't work, I used some Diatometous earth. The aphids have spread to my seedlings too Sad so I hope they survive and the DE works.

I hope this is the summer we finally get artichokes, I extended my garden and I have a 16' X 3' area just for them and some flowers.

Good luck with all your Artichoke endeavors!
