It's one of those self-perpetuating myths. With the internet as our main source of information, if someone says it's this, then someone else picks that up and so on. Eventually you can't find the truth because it no longer exists.

Miltonia or Miltoniopsis
Neomarica or Dietes
C. intermedia 'Pine Knot' or ?

I am having the same problems researching my genealogy. If one person gets it wrong and others pick up on that and add it to their information, eventually the truth is amazingly hard to find.

The more times the wrong info is passed on, the more legitimacy it has.

Confused Daisy
