I'm adding to my list in the swaps tool as I go along... please let me know if you need to be added as a participant, and Dave will add you. (It's not set up to let you enroll on your own once trading has started)

Meanwhile, here's a list of "extras" from our group buys and other "good deals" I can offer at cost.

Caladium bulbs -- mixed. I ordered 5 pounds, got them at a great price ($25). I divided the lot as evenly as I could manage into 10 bags. They are mostly smaller bulbs, great for tucking here and there in containers. A half pound bag contains as many as I can hold in my hand plus a couple.

Marking Pens! I'll get both Silver and the new "Extreme" black sharpie, both "fine point" (the regular size). Last year the "industrial" sharpie seemed less fade-resistant to me. I think they may have gone toward making it heat-resistant and chemical-resistant instead... and the new "extreme" variety has replaced it as the fade-resistant one.

I can get both for about $1 each from Amazon... Buying them in 12-packs gives us a price break, and I'll just stash away any extras. The silver works really well on black nursery pots and cell packs... I can usually read it 3 years later.

In addition, I have some paper mate mechanical pencils with thicker leads (1.3mm) that I really like for writing on both zinc and window-blind labels. They're brightly colored, easy to hold, don't break their tip easily, and don't need sharpening. 60 cents each.

UPDATE: I keep checking for a good price on Amazon, but haven't hit a decent sale yet on the silver metallic. Unless Jim can get them at a discount from Office Depot on Friday, I'll just have the black available this time.

Lisa: 2 silver sharpies
SSG: 1 extreme black, 1 silver
Sally: 3 extreme blackI

Moisture Crystals I have Powder, Small, Medium (the size of "soil moist"), and Large. I've been using a 2:1 mix of medium and large for most needs (containers and in-ground planting). Small is nice for little pots and seed starting trays. Powder makes a great slurry for dipping bare root plants and for using when shipping plants for trade.

A little goes a long way with the moisture crystals... I go through several pounds a year, but I use them everywhere. At the box stores, they seem to run $12 or more per pound... I buy in bulk every few years, so we get it for $6.50 per pound. I'll make up some $1 bags of the powder, too... a little goes a really long way with the powder, but it's very useful stuff (just don't breathe it in).

Robinbunch: 1 pound medium, 1 pound large (or 2 pounds mixed)

LILY BULBS available from our Ednie group buy. At wholesale prices, any leftovers will go fast on swap day, so if you see something you want, please post *now* to reserve it. "Available" isn't the same thing as "must sell," since participants have said they'll take the extras, but we wanted to offer them to our friends!

For those who are in the swap -- if you asked for 5 or 10 of some variety, you are currently down for 5. So if you've been thinking you really do want 10, let me know!

We have not ordered from Ednie before, but from their reviews I'm expecting bulbs of similar size and quality to what we've had from ADR in the past.

For simplicity, I'm rounding prices up a few pennies to $1 per bulb, including shipping and re-packaging. I'll keep track of these on my haves/wants post, but please ask for them on this thread.

Thanks!
