No water for me, though I do need to be near the beach. I get seasick sitting on a boat at the dock. I got pushed into the deep end of a pool in my teens, went straight to the bottom, and finally got dragged out when a friend kept screaming "she can't swim!" Took swimming lessons several times, but just can't get the breathing thing. I did go snorkeling in Tahiti, though - just stayed close to the boat! Going to Catalina on a boat was a terror - helicopter was a joy.
Rebecca, those gloves sound right up my street, too. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with them. I have some fingerless gloves I sometimes wear indoors in the winter if my hands ache. I think they are for needlework enthusiasts - very snug and warm. Then my Wristies, which I always - except in the summer - wear when driving. The Wristies will even go over my braces if I need them, too.
