The idea that one might grow Orchids under those bright lights is probably the last thing which comes to People's mind!! Smiling

Regarding pollination by one of those Wasps or Bees - in nature Phals are surely pollinated by specific Euglossine Bees, not sure if the insect you/Chris saw is the right fit to carry out pollination. But they would certainly not be responsible for producing basal keikis. Perhaps small injuries to the main stem might, if I am guessing.
