I wrapped mine in wet paper towel and plastic bagged them for 2 months in the fridge. Then I planted them in a small flower pot in the house. They are about 9 inches tall. I will put them out in a partially shady spot this June and move them to a sunnier spot when they have good roots.
Don't make fear based decisions.
