Anthony, Very nice arrangement. I don't show, but love to go to shows and admire other people's efforts and collections. I do keep good records and a photo journal of our collection.

We may have planted some of the hoops in areas that got a tad more water, but we don't water in the fall, winter or spring and do so only minimally in the summer in most beds. What is a sook? I have read that the bulbocodium want less water, so I am going to follow your lead and we will plant the next batch in a hot spot that gets very little summer supplemental water. Thanks. They are too charming not to have. 500 of them must be stunning.

Last spring DH and I went to the Narcissus show here and as we were leaving I thanked the chairwomen for the fine show. When she realized that I was a member of the Am. Daffodil Society for which she is an officer, she invited us to visit her garden and I reciprocated with my address and said to drop by anytime. Next morning there was a gathering of people at our front door to see our Narcissus. They were the judges for the show and visiting the Island from all over the US. They were incredible gracious, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our garden and our spring bulbs. One man in particular was charming and helpful in answering my zillion questions and as they were about to leave, he spotted a nice stand of a favorite Narcissus of ours and said he was the proud hybridizer of it. It was Division 7 - Jonquilla Narcissus Kokopelli. It turns out that he is a past president of the American Society and the man who grew the green one that I so desire called N.Masa Verde, but not at its current price of a 150.00 a bulb. I hope we can tempt them back next spring for another walk through. It was so amazing to hear their wealth of information about each cultivar that was blooming that day. Patti
