I think I remember 'Chengdu' being similar to I. japonica, which spreads, but not voraciously. Although, I have to say, there are many, many plants that I've been sucked into by Annies that are weedy pests.
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.
