Poison Ivy seems to take the straightest, most direct route to the top and is hairiest.
English Ivey meanders and circles tree with side branches and is evergreen (Poison ivy is not evergreen) Winter Creeper isn't hairy, but is evergreen and has side branches all along the main stem.
It is Spring so sap is running. Clean all tools, etc thoroughly. Good luck!
