You say it is only four inches tall now, so it has a few weeks to go until it blooms. I assume you say it must be blooming outside because of the stench.
How about placing it growing in a pot outside during the warm days and bring it into the garage in the evening, until it gets warmer.
I find the stench is only present for a couple of days.


So if yours survives in your garage, then worst scenrio I could just put mine in for a few days until the smell is gone, but if it waits a few weeks then it can safely stay outside for good.
