Update on plants:
I received from the seller an apology for the plants arriving in their condition. They stated that someone else is doing the shipping due to issues keeping them away from the garden.
At the seller's suggestion, I agreed to keep the plants to see if they would survive, with the agreement to have my money refunded if they do not. They also stated that they may have more to send, but it would be a few weeks before they would know. I really hope they make it, as I really wanted these two cultivars. (Queen of Green and Kaleidoscope Queen
)
It is good to know that they apologized and agreed to make it right. It was hard for me to believe that thousands of positive ratings on the LA could be wrong. I am also glad that I didn't drag the person's name through the mud, especially if they are already having problems. At the very least, they will now be aware that some plants have been shipped out this way, and hopefully will make improvements.
I am also glad to bring awareness to people that don't buy much through mail order...they are supposed to look better than this! Ironically, I was digging daylilies when the mail woman delivered my package of daylilies! I have only mailed daylilies to people 3 times. By comparison, these are how mine looked upon arrival to their new location:

So glad to have this somewhat resolved. I hate to be 'that person', but feel like if you don't let people know there's a problem, they can't fix it.
On a positive note, I got an email confirmation saying that my next daylilies on are their way from another ATP member, and I've been assured that there are no wimpy plants in the box!!
