I can relate to that; whenever we watch documentary type TV shows and they're talking about measurements a/o dimensions, metrics are almost always used; not being very familiar with them, sometimes I'm left in the blue.
I kind of remember that your proposal was addressed at one time, I don't remember the outcome, I think it may have just been left in the air.
