Maybe rather than an automatic conversion, there could be a conversion table somewhere on the site? There's a blank space in the sidebar on the left underneath the ads, for example, on the forums anyway. Supposedly the only other countries in the world who don't officially use the metric system, apart from the USA, are Liberia and Myanmar.

Those of us outside the USA have to convert temperatures between F and C as well, when they're discussed on the forums. That can get very confusing sometimes when people give a temperature that is possible in either scale without indicating which one they're using For instance if I said just that it is 4 degrees here today, that could be either 4F (-15C) or 4C (39F). (I use a conversion app on my iPad a lot on ATP Hilarious! ) I think that would be even harder to automate unless it was based on the country of the poster.
