hmm ... Well, the past two winters were brutal by Florida standards. We had many nights in the low to mid 20's and days where it didn't even make it to 40ºF ... and even ICE! I've been here for 44 years and have never seen anything like it! I lost many plants to the cold this past winter. The only plants I bring inside when it gets real cold are my orchids and a few hoya's. Everything else gets moved to the enclosed porch and also to the covered deck. I throw blankets over them when temp's are predicted to drop.

The Stephanotis stays in full sun year round and gets fed with bloom booster fertilizer when I feed the orchids. I'm stumped as to why it has never bloomed but hopefully some day!

~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot!
