You can get 100% peppermint oil from any health food shop, or even off amazon. I order mine from Amazon in an 8 oz bottle and it runs about $8 with shipping to the house. Just a dab on the cotton ball here and there will last a while. I maybe drop new ones every 2 months. More in the winter because I don't want mice.
