Inspect it to see if you see any signs of pests. You may have to actually tip the pot upside down holding in one hand and with the other ( or get someone to hold it for you) and check the undersides. I use an insecticidal soap (Gardensafe) particular as a preventative measure on any new plants whether they look like they need it or not.
I tip them upside down, spray the undersides, then right side up and spray again and let dry in a shady spot. "Most" Hoya pests will be either Aphids or Spider Mites or Mealy bugs, particularly indoors where air circulation in more limited.
God gave us wings. He just called them horses
